Ihug Wins Isp Of The Year
Ihug has been voted as the top Internet service provider (ISP) of the year in the Telecommunications Users Associations of New Zealand (TUANZ) innovation awards for 2005.
Ihug was chosen as the best ISP by TUANZ members who have had experience with the ISP as customers. They beat six other finalists including Xtra and clear.net.
Chief executive of ihug Mark Rushworth says the award reflects the hard work of a great team of employees and the loyalty and support of over 100,000 customers.
"It's been a great year for ihug with our new broadband service and it's fantastic for us and for our customers to be recognised as the best ISP in New Zealand."
The prestigious awards recognise and reward Kiwi ingenuity in telecommunications and continue to raise the standards expected from New Zealand's telecommunications providers and users.
Winners were announced last Thursday night at a black-tie dinner.
