Elevate - Wellington's network for young entrepreneurs - is celebrating its first Birthday with an event showcasing some exciting local businesses in the Old Bank Arcade on August 10th.
Supported by NRG Trust, The Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Church, Elevate has been running events aimed at bringing together Wellington's young entrepreneurs.
Elevate targets 18-30 years olds who are either interested in or are running their own business along with experienced heads who can offer advice and support to Wellington's young, innovative business community.
Elevate's 1st Birthday in the Old Bank Arcade is an opportunity for everyone interested in Wellingtons innovative business community to celebrate the stories and successes of three companies resident in the Old Bank Arcade.
The Honey Hive and Mojo Coffee will tell their stories, and speak about why they started out in business, what they love about being in business and the exciting prospects they have for the future.
In addition to these presentations Elevate will run short 'Speed Networking' activities to get people introducing themselves and talking together.
Elevate is passionate about getting young people meeting others who can help them achieve their business goals. "Sharing our stories and providing opportunities to network provides inspiration, motivation and generates new business opportunities," says Justin Flitter who helps run Elevate events.
Board member, Paul Soong, also the General Manager of The Church says the goal of Elevate is to also address the "importance of the role that young people play in the future landscape of the Wellington business."
Elevate's 1st Birthday Function is in the Old Bank Arcade from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday the 10th of August. Tickets are $20 per person (on the night) and registration for the event can be made via the Elevate website. Food for this event will be catered by Smith the Grocer.
