Commtest Establishes Foothold With Opening Of US Office
Press release, 26-July-05, Commtest, Christchurch, New Zealand:
A Christchurch firm and leading provider of condition monitoring equipment, Commtest is tackling the Americas head on with the opening of an office in Knoxville, Tennessee and the appointment of Jack Dischner as President.
Commtest’s new office is part of a targeted business strategy aimed at capturing the attention of a market that is frustrated with the over-priced and inflexible technology currently available.
At the helm of the new operation will be predictive maintenance veteran Jack Dischner. Jack brings to the company 30 years of industry-specific experience in sales, marketing, management and profit & loss accountability. With the US office constituting an integral part of Commtest’s international expansion plans, the company was particularly impressed with Jack’s senior-level management experience, which has ranged from Business Manager to Director of Global Strategic Marketing.
Jack says of his new appointment, “This is an outstanding opportunity to take a respected and established brand to the position of number one in the vibration analysis industry. Commtest fills a real gap in predictive maintenance; by providing robust products with a focus on customer service, we will help our customers improve production, reduce plant downtime and increase return on investment.”
Commtest’s foray into the U.S. market represents a significant threat to its competition. The company’s vibration analysis products are cost-competitive and Commtest is able to respond quickly to adapt their product offerings to meet customers’ needs. They also offer the only five-year warranty in the industry – a benefit that customers rarely have to pay for. According to Jack, ‘our warranty claims are the lowest in the industry.’
U.S. sales had until now been the domain of master distributor 3dB Global. While Commtest will still maintain a relationship with 3dB, General Manager John Cochrane says that it was time for the company to establish an office in the States and cultivate a one-on-one relationship with its key clientele.
“We are thrilled about the opening of our US headquarters,” says Cochrane. “Commtest has a great deal of confidence in Jack’s ability to respond to the needs of the market; his experience and depth of industry knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the organisation.”
