Opportunities to export to Thailand

Opportunities to export to Thailand
The trade agreement with Thailand that came into force today will provide many more opportunities for New Zealand exporters, says Business NZ.
Chief Executive Phil O'Reilly says New Zealand manufacturers in particular should study the opportunities closely*.
"While tariffs for some of our meat and dairy products will continue for a while, those relating to manufactured products are now in many cases tariff-free.
"Manufacturers who in the past haven't sought to sell in Thailand because of tariff costs, should now think about adding that country to their export promotion plans," Mr O'Reilly said.
"The Trade Negotiations Minister and MFAT are to be congratulated for their ongoing work achieving bilateral trade deals. Now it's up to New Zealand enterprises to capitalise on them."
