“We are experiencing huge demand for services from around the North Island to Wellington this weekend! We expect even
more demand the following weekend when all roads lead to Auckland for the final Test,” said Rode. “InterCity WILL add
services as needed to carry fans from around New Zealand to the second Lions / All Blacks Test Match at the Westpac
Stadium in Wellington next Saturday - 2 July! We will get them to the match on time!” emphasised Rode.
InterCity added extra services to Christchurch last Saturday for the first Test and had previously added extra services
for the matches in Dunedin, Hamilton and Rotorua.
Wellington services include the “Starlighter” overnight service which leaves Auckland at 7.50pm and Hamilton at 10.00pm
arriving in Wellington at 6.50am match day morning. The Full Fare is $67 one way. The best fares available may be viewed

Other services to Wellington next Saturday are from Napier at 9.15am, the fare is $35. From New Plymouth at 8.10am the
fare is $60 and Palmerston North at 10.10am and 12.45pm, the fare is $29. Additional services from other centres around
the North Island will be added as necessary. The return services operate at various times on Sunday 3 July at similar
rates.
