Action Orange Campaign
June 16, 2005
In the week beginning 1pm Thursday, June 16, a Federated Farmers' petition will travel from various parts of New Zealand to Wellington.
Four separate petition 'road trains' leave from the Far North and East coast of the North Island, and Stewart Island and Jackson Bay, South Westland, in the South Island.
Two of the road trains involve the movement of an orange casket -- representing the death of farmers' right to control access to their farms.
The petition will move on a variety of vehicles such as tractors (including Myrtle), helicopter, jet boat, and combine harvester.
