Virtually sail away with P Cruises
Just one click on P Cruises' revamped website opens a new series of cruise-cams that transport virtual cruisers to 19 ships sailing oceans
around the globe.
The new cruise-cam links are part of a major upgrade to the company's website at www.pocruises.co.nz
The site also features a preview of P Cruises' latest liner Pacific Star, to be based out of Auckland in winter 2006, great deals on fares and the most
up-to-date itineraries - all with speedy web navigation.
P Cruises New Zealand manager Shannon Currie says the company's website has recorded 30 million viewings across New
Zealand and Australia since going live in February 2003.
With three ships based permanently in Australasia by the end of this year, Mr Currie predicts the number of web-hits
will continue to escalate.
"The cruise-cam links are consistently one of the most popular sections of our website and these new, faster, more
informative pages now show where a ship has been, where it's heading and which cruise it is undertaking.
"The new look website includes details about upcoming cruises and specials, so visitors can easily find the best deals,"
Mr Currie said.
"Another feature is direct links for specific users such as 'your first cruise, past passengers and already booked'
options. This means browsers don't have to hunt through the entire site to find the information most relevant to them.
"A new and improved 'cruise finder' link on the homepage provides faster cruise searches with 'shortlist' options, so
people can choose a number of itineraries and take their time deciding which one to book. They can also email the
shortlist to friends, so everyone can weigh-up the options."
Mr Currie says improved search engine optimisation and an extensive upgrade that supports advanced mobile phone web
capabilities, as well as older-style browsers, ensures the website is more user-friendly for everyone.
