Member of Well-Known Property Family Named Harcourts’ # 1 Commercial Consultant
Julian Twiss, a member of one of Christchurch’s most well-known real estate families has achieved the top spot as
Harcourts’ Number 1 Commercial Sales Consultant in New Zealand for 2004-2005.
The achievement was announced at a black tie Awards Dinner concluding Harcourts' annual three day Conference in Sky
City Auckland with close to 1,000 attending at the end of May.
Mr Julian Twiss is a member of the Twiss family including brothers Bill and the late Geoffrey Twiss, with nephew and
niece James and Emma Twiss all actively involved in Twiss-Keir Real Estate which co-owns Harcourts’ Shirley, Belfast,
Rangiora, Kaiapoi, and Hanmer offices with partner Nigel Keir.
Having worked in commercial real estate for just on 12 years, Mr Twiss has managed the sale of a number of well-known
buildings and projects in Christchurch, including the various retail, restaurant and other facets of Cathedral Junction
which was originally the brain-child of the late John Britten.
With a long-held family enthusiasm for real estate, Mr Twiss said his success with his loyal client base was a result
of “product knowledge, dedication and a passion for what I do. Twelve years later I still get so much enjoyment and
excitement from working in commercial property.”
CEO of Harcourts New Zealand, Bryan Thomson, said, “Julian Twiss is a perfect example of combining a love of what you
do with product knowledge, and the Twiss family traits of a massive smile and ability to relate to people at all levels.
His success is the culmination of years of experience placing him at the peak of our commercial team. Harcourts is very
proud to have Julian as our commercial champion.”
Second and Third Top Commercial Sales Consultant Awards went to David McKillop of Harcourts Invercargill (last year’s
top Harcourts Commercial Consultant) and Bruce Woodhead of Harcourts New Plymouth, respectively.
