New Broadband Plans Deliver Savings To Businesses
Xtra will launch three new business plans in July offering reduced broadband prices for business customers.
The new Xtra Broadband Business plans have download speeds of up to 24 and 50 times faster than dial up with monthly allowances of 3, 10 and 15 gigabytes respectively.
Head of Broadband and Internet Chris Thompson said the new plans simplify Xtra’s business broadband portfolio for customers.
“From 8 July business customers will have clearer broadband options based on their speed, data and price requirements.
“The new prices provide considerable monthly savings for businesses and we are confident the new line-up will further drive the uptake of broadband in the business market,” Mr Thompson said.
Monthly charges are heavily reduced from the existing full speed business plans. The new Xtra Broadband Business plan with 10 gigabyte data allowance is priced at $149.95 (plus GST) per month compared to $905.78 for the current Xtra business plan with the same data allowance.
The three new plans complement the existing Xtra Broadband Venture services (up to 6 times faster than dial-up) which have proven popular since their launch into the business market last year.
Faster business plans will also be available through the Unbundled Bitstream Service (UBS) from 8 July, allowing other ISPs to create and deliver their own high-end broadband products to the business market.
