EMIRATES PROVIDES NEW NZ CONNECTIONS
Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, today announced a new
daily connection between Christchurch and Sydney, commencing July 16, 2005.
The new air link will operate as an extension of Emirates' Sydney-Dubai

Christchurch-Melbourne-Dubai routing, which will instead operate
Auckland-Melbourne-Dubai from the same date.
Richard Vaughan, Emirates' Senior Vice President East Asia and Australasia,
said: "This move caters to our customers' changing requirements, in
particular the strong passenger demand for travel between Christchurch and
Sydney. We keep a close watch on market trends, and are taking the
opportunity to review our services in Australasia as we expand our network
and aircraft fleet."
