Bailey Water Tanks First to Comply with New Industry Standard
New Zealand’s largest tank manufacturer, Bailey Tanks, is leading the industry in the provision of high-quality, safe
water tanks with the news that it is the first – and so far only - company to gain compliance to a new industry
Standard.
The joint New Zealand and Australian Standard AS/NZS4766 specifies requirements for the design and manufacture of
polyethylene storage tanks.
David Bailey, Bailey Tanks’ general manager said that compliance to this Standard involves constant, rigorous testing to
ensure secure storage, performance and workmanship, the correct design, fittings and the correct material selection for
the tanks. These tests are performed on every one of the thousands of Baileys Tank produced per year.
“Customers need to know that their tank is 100% hygienic, durable and safe and they can do this by choosing a Bailey
Tank, which carries a Code of Compliance sticker, the only product in the market that currently does so.”
Bailey tanks are moulded in tough food grade approved polyethylene plastic, the same plastic used for water pipes, and
in the packaging of milk and soft drinks.
They won’t crack, fade or rust and their one-piece construction makes them exceptionally strong and easy to clean. They
are also UV-stabilised to withstand the harsh New Zealand sun, with colour that is permanently moulded in to ensure it
stays looking good.
The tanks are light and easy to move and can be rolled into position and stood upright with no tank stand required. They
come in a wide range of sizes and colours to suit any requirement and ensure they blend seamlessly with the
surroundings.
