Deputy Chair Elected
Meat & Wool New Zealand’s Board has elected its first Deputy Chairman, Waipukurau farmer Mike Petersen, and re-elected the Chairman Jeff Grant.
The Chairman for the organisation’s first year, Southland farmer Jeff Grant, continues as Chairman. The Board decided to elect a Deputy Chairman.
A farmer-elected Director, Mike Petersen is the former Chairman of Sheepco and has been involved in restructuring of the meat and wool industry organisations. He is the Chairman of the Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand, a member of the New Zealand Sheep Council and represents Meat & Wool New Zealand on the Meat Promotion Group, which recommends promotion priorities for red meat.
