Shift Wins an Online Oscar for Tourism Site
Shift's work for Tourism New Zealand received the top award in the Tourism category of the 9th Annual Webby Awards.
www.newzealand.com/travel, the country's premiere online destination for travel and tourism information received the
crowning honour of a Webby to add to its collection of accolades.
The Webby Awards showcase the very best that the global web design community has to offer. Over 4000 entries were
critiqued on their originality, functionality and usability to determine the elite field of five finalists in each
category.
"Over the years we have received numerous bouquets for our work with Tourism New Zealand," said Shift Creative Director
Brian Smith. "This Webby Award, however, is very special to us. The Webby Awards represent the pinnacle of recognition
in our profession."
Shift has collaborated closely with Tourism New Zealand since 1999 to develop the online execution of the 100% Pure New
Zealand advertising campaign. The resulting family of newzealand.com websites has earned world-leading reputations in
the online tourism sector for both organisations. Selwyn Feary, founding director of Shift, said "this Award
