Omokoroa Attracts Investor Interest & New Harveys Office
The attraction of the Bay of Plenty as a destination for lifestyle and residential living has resulted in Harveys opening a new office in Omokoroa this week.
According to Lex Bacon, owner of the new office, “finally the beauty of Omokoroa, its peaceful harbourside properties and affordable lifestyle blocks has been discovered and now everyone wants to invest in such a desirable area.”
The new Harveys office is located 25 kms north of Tauranga, on The Esplanade, and Lex says the buyers are a combination of locals, Aucklanders and overseas investors interested in establishing permanent residence and holiday homes.
Rapid residential growth in the area has been sparked by increasing numbers of commuters who have chosen to enjoy the serenity and lifestyle of the Omokoroa Harbour, and still commute to Tauranga, one of New Zealand’s fastest growing cities.
Because properties around Omokoroa are still affordable, Lex says it is gaining the attention of the holiday market. “The area is still a haven of tranquility, seemingly far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, unlike other more well-known Bay of Plenty holiday destinations.”
Construction has also begun on a new subdivision of over 400 sections, most with spectacular views of Tauranga Harbour and the Kaimai Ranges.
Lex says his goal for the office is “to give vendors and buyers a choice of better service, to undergo programmes of proactive marketing to the people of the district of Omokoroa and surrounding lifestyle areas, as well as growing the Harveys brand throughout the Bay of Plenty region.”
He believes his seven years in the area and the knowledge this familiarity brings will be the key to success.
The Harveys Omokoroa team has recently been negotiating the sale of coastal, residential, commercial and business property with the overall value over the $6 million mark.
