Going Once, Going Twice, Go Auto Goes To Auction
Media Alert
Auckland, 21 April 2005
Today go auto launches go auction, an exciting new addition to its interactive car sales network.
go auction enables users to buy and sell vehicles through an online auction at www.goauction.co.nz. Vehicles are promoted through go auto’s fully integrated advertising platform, go auto tv (SKY Channel 205), go auto magazine (on sale weekly) and, for the first time, in the Herald on Sunday.
The integrated platform gives greater opportunity for buyers and sellers to be connected over existing traditional auction systems and the relatively new online-only alternatives.
The launch of go auction will be supported by an extensive media campaign on TV and Radio.
About go auto
go auto is a joint venture partnership between the IMVDA, SKY Television and CanWest TVWorks that provides vehicle sellers from all over New Zealand with access to a multimedia advertising initiative. It includes 24/7 interactive TV on a SKY digital platform (channel 205: go auto TV), a nationwide website (go auto Web), and a weekly full-colour glossy publication (go auto Magazine).
go auto was launched to the public on Sunday July 11 using a full package of advertising, marketing and sales-support that included 15 and 30-second commercials on SKY networks, TV3 and selected RadioWorks stations. go auto magazine hit news-stands on Friday July 16 at a RRP of $2.95.
go auto is managed by independent third party Hot Tin Roof. The world-first technology behind go auto was developed by Tauranga-based specialist multimedia business Enform.
