Fairfax Magazines Wins At MPA Awards
Fairfax Magazines scooped five accolades at the MPA Awards last night (Friday, 8 April) at a glittering gala dinner
held to recognise excellence in the magazine publishing industry.
With 18 entries submitted across a number of categories, Fairfax Magazines had 15 finalists and won five awards:

market] Magazine of the Year: Cuisine [home & food]
Amanda Murphy, general manager - lifestyle titles, Fairfax Magazines comments, "We are proud of our stable of market

each Fairfax title the best read possible."
In the Magazine of the Year category Fairfax Magazines submitted five titles and four were finalists. Cuisine took out a
coveted accolade for Magazine of the Year [home & food] in this competitive market.
Continuing the roll of good luck, Prue Dashfield also took out a top award at the Cathay Pacific Travel Media Awards
earlier in the week. Prue's story for onHoliday magazine about a trip to the A Society show in Clareville, Wairarapa (Jolly Good Show, Spring 2004), was awarded the prestigious title of Best
Magazine Story of the Year. Prue acknowledged onHoliday for recognising a trip to an A Show in New Zealand as an adventurous travel story.
