Denis Harvey Joins Prime Television
Prime Television New Zealand today announced the appointment of Denis Harvey to the position of Station Manager for the network. Denis replaces Trevor Sutherland who will be assuming a role with Prime Television Australia after two years with the company in New Zealand.
In announcing Mr Harvey’s appointment, Prime’s CEO Chris Taylor said “Prime has undergone a significant transformation over the past 18 months as it embarks on greater domestic production. This transformation will continue operationally and technically over the coming year and to have someone of Denis’ expertise and knowledge is a significant win for us.”
Denis Harvey has had 29 years experience within the industry working as Producer, Executive Producer and in Television Management. Most recently Denis held the position of Head of Production and Sport at TVNZ where he was responsible for management of outside broadcast television, the Avalon Television Centre and the TVNZ archives as well as internal production and sport.
Denis has extensive international production experience and is particularly recognised for the television coverage of the last four America’s Cups and the Sailing coverage at the last three Olympic Games. Outside of sport Denis’ production credits include, Documentary series Hillary: A View from The Top and No Latitude for Error, Peter Blake’s record-breaking voyage around the world.
On accepting his position Denis Harvey said, “I am looking forward to working with all staff at Prime and contributing to their growth. This is an exciting period in Prime’s history and I am delighted to be joining the dynamic management team in delivering a better New Zealand television offering.”
