Expatriate Ceo Brings Censere Group To New Zealand
Censere Group, the Singapore based Asia/Pacific valuation and financial services group has opened a New Zealand office. The office will offer the full range of group activities but will focus particularly on Intellectual Capital audits.
The Chief Executive of the Censere Group, Brett Shadbolt, is an expatriate New Zealander. “After building the Censere business through Asia and the Pacific I’m personally very pleased to be bringing it home” Brett said announcing the office opening. “There are a large number of opportunities for Censere in New Zealand and I believe many businesses are looking for some fresh thinking on share and the other valuation and advisory services we offer”.
Censere provides a full range of specialised valuation services across a spectrum of industries. “We are fully up to speed with the New Zealand market with experienced New Zealand staff in place” said Brett “and I’ll naturally be taking a very keen interest from Head Office”. “On the property valuation aspects of the business we will be working in an alliance with Telfer Young, the leading New Zealand property valuation firm.” “We will be launching our new Intellectual Capital Division in the next week or two”. This will add a lot of capability to companies in New Zealand to fully assess the value and risks within a company’s brands, processes, management, systems, networks and overall business recipe”.

INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT SERVICE LAUNCHED
Censere Group has announced that it is launching its Intellectual Capital Management Division in New Zealand this week. The launch follows on from the Asia/Pacific valuation and financial advisory group establishing a New Zealand presence recently.
Expatriate Kiwi Chief Executive of the Censere Group Brett Shadbolt said at the announcement that there are misunderstandings amongst many over what intellectual capital in an organisation actually is. “People think that it is only about brands but the scope and value of intellectual capital covers the spectrum of brands, processes, management, systems, networks and overall business recipe”.
“In essence we measure all the non-financial aspects of the business” says Brett “the premium over the actual assets that are called ‘goodwill’ but are seldom quantified as to true value to the business”. “At times what is considered valuable may indeed even be a risk”. “Getting a fix on what goodwill actually represents is enormously valuable in terms of attracting investment, sustaining realistic share valuations and confirming company direction”.
“Our methodology involves an extensive audit that identifies strengths and very importantly the risks to the business where intellectual capital is critical to future success”. “And these risks are usually within most businesses, even the most successful”. The Censere Intellectual Capital Division can identify what is valuable for a company and what needs attention. This means it meets the management and Board needs of publicly listed companies, companies planning listing and substantial private companies or other organisations needing to know what is most valuable in the business recipe.
