Bus Services Disrupted From Tuesday
Stagecoach bus services will be disrupted by industrial action starting Tuesday 22 March. Stagecoach has been advised by the Stagecoach Auckland Combined Unions that they have rejected the company's three year offer of a 12% pay increase, of which 7.6% will be in the first year.
The Combined Unions have also advised that they will be taking the following industrial action commencing 22 March: Continuous work to rule Drivers will not be completing their last service trips.
A stop work meeting of all members is to be held on Wednesday 23 March, 11am to 3pm.
They have advised that some members may not return to work after this meeting. Stagecoach was advised of this action at 3.30pm on Friday 18 March. At this early time we cannot be sure of the effects of this action.
We will however notify the public (and media) as soon as we have more specific information on what service disruptions will occur.
