2005 ALL FORD DAY THIS WEEKEND AT MOTOR COMPANY'S HEAD OFFICE
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, 14 March 2005
The 2005 All Ford Day is taking place at Ford New Zealand's Head Office at 70 Plunket Ave in Manukau this Sunday – and this years show and shine event is shaping up to be even bigger than 2004.
"I get the feeling that we're in for a real treat," said organizing committee representative, Ian Langley.
"150 cars turned out for last year's event, but we're aiming for 200 plus cars this year. There will be a range of Fords from Model A's through to Hot Rods – and everything in between. Most of the cars on display will be from the UK, Australia and of course the US – but I'm sure there will be one or two surprises in amongst them all."
The 2005 All Ford Day commences at 10am, and concludes at 3pm. Food and drink is available for the full length of the show, and public admission is only $2 per adult and free for children under 13 years old (if accompanied by an adult).
"The All Ford day is a great opportunity for Ford lovers to come and check out some of the fine vehicles still on the road," commented Mr. Langley.
"It is good to see many of these cars are very well looked after and are obviously their owners pride and joy."
Spot prizes for cars on display will be awarded during the day, and prize giving will take place toward the end of the afternoon. There are 13 different categories including Best American, Best Australian and Best European - and the popular People's Choice award will also be presented.
Sponsors for the All Ford Day include The Gearbox Factory, Seco Tools, Korako Coffee, Instant Shade Umbrellas, Partzco, Big Three Car Club, GT Falcon Club of NZ, Mustang & Ford, B J Panel beaters, Auto Majic Mechanicals Ltd. Meguiars have also donated product for prizes.
