New Harcourts Halswell Office for Christchurch
7 March 2005
The long-standing and successful Harcourts business partnership of Kevin McKay and David Johnson has launched a third office in Halswell to extend their service from their Hornby and Barrington offices.
The opening of the new Christchurch office is the realisation of a plan that has taken some years to come to fruition. While already servicing Halswell, the partnership had been waiting some time for suitable Halswell premises to open an office. Rather than continuing waiting, Mr Johnson and Mr McKay decided to purpose-build architecturally designed new premises right on the main road.
Mr Johnson said the immediate public response to having an actual office to visit has been outstanding, especially with the increasing popularity of Halswell as such a pleasant environment to live in. In particular Halswell has become renowned for both its many new subdivisions, as well as access to lifestyle blocks in the greater and very popular Tai Tapu and Lincoln areas.
Managed by one of Harcourts most successful past Sales Consultants, Bruce Newman, Harcourts Halswell’s sales team provides expertise in residential, country/lifestyle and commercial. As a resident himself of nearby Prebbleton, Mr Newman confirmed being a member of the community not only meant he could provide knowledge through the perspective of a resident, but was keen to share his enthusiasm for the area.
CEO of Harcourts New Zealand, Bryan Thomson, said, “Harcourts Group has a clear commitment to establish offices in every viable market in New Zealand to provide every property seller and buyer access to our services. Halswell is a sought after and vibrant location and to have two of our most experienced and respected franchise owners establish this new office to service both existing clients in Halswell and its surrounds and the many new clients we meet every day is a major step ahead for our brand. We know Harcourts Halswell will be a valuable and valued member of its community.”
