Canon Creates Four New Positions to Support New Business Direction
Canon New Zealand today announced four key appointments to newly created positions within the company’s Integrated
Solutions Group. This Group is responsible for developing and delivering solutions and services to improve clients’
business processes and information lifecycle management.
Steve Lewthwaite, formerly senior business consultant and software marketing manager for Fuji Xerox, has been appointed
as professional services consultant based in Auckland. Steve will be primarily responsible for analysing customer needs
and proposing business solutions and will work with a team of solutions specialists.
This new team of solutions specialists includes Ichsan Zwart (Auckland), Adrian McNaughten (Wellington) and Luke Shaw
(Christchurch). They are responsible for identifying and selling digital solutions to answer clients’ needs and
overseeing the successful implementation of these.
Canon New Zealand’s managing director, Tony Wills, said these positions are pivotal to the company’s successful
transition from a box-selling to customer-focussed, solutions-selling model.
“These newly created positions will evolve Canon’s technical expertise and industry knowledge,” said Mr Wills. “This
will ensure we can identify and understand the issues that our customers face and in turn develop and deliver flexible
solutions and services to resolve these issues,” said Mr Wills.
Enterprise content management is a rapidly growing market which is becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated. With
the explosion of multifunction applications and the convergence of technology, Canon’s integrated solutions group has
re-aligned itself to operate in conjunction with Canon’s business imaging solutions group - responsible for providing
hardware solutions.
