Pacific Blue Welcomed to Auckland by Flight Centre
The arrival of Pacific Blue in Auckland has been welcomed by one of New Zealand’s leading travel agents.
Flight Centre managing director Graeme Moore says Pacific Blue entering the market means good news for Auckland travellers, opening them up to specials such as $99 and even $1 transtasman one way airfares enjoyed by the people in Christchurch and Wellington already.
Pacific Blue first publicly signalled its intent to fly out of Auckland by attending Flight Centre’s recent Travel Expo at the Auckland Showgrounds on Waitangi weekend, and will kick off its Auckland schedule with twice weekly services to the Gold Coast on May 14.
Graeme Moore says the airline is a welcome addition to the Auckland market, as its maverick style has created a much more competitive in other parts of the country.
“While we may not see dollar airfares every month, expect to get some great deals across the Tasman in the coming year,” he said.
