Ballance Management Structure Aligns For Growth
Statement made by Ballance Agri-Nutrients Chief Executive, Larry Bilodeau
The senior management team at Ballance Agri-Nutrients has completed a re-evaluation of the structure of the company, and as a result several new positions have been created and responsibilities re-assigned.
Over the past two years in particular, Ballance has grown in size and complexity: the restructure is a direct result of this and will allow us to continue to grow and to work effectively and efficiently for our shareholders.
Much of our growth has been in the area of distribution, as evidenced by the opening of 34 new or substantially renovated outlets in the past 18 months. In recognition of the importance of this aspect of the business we have created the position of General Manager, Distribution and Logistics. Gray Baldwin has been appointed to this role, and will have responsibility for getting products from the works to the farm.
Marketing is closely allied to sales functions, and to reflect this we have combined these teams within Ballance. They now come under the jurisdiction of Graeme Smith.
In addition, Peter Mourits has been appointed as Head of Business Development. This new role has a future-based focus and is central to our strategy for growth over the coming years. Mr Mourits is the also the central point of contact for corporate communication and media-related enquiries.
As a result of these new positions some other responsibilities have been re-assigned. A list of senior management and their roles follows:
Gray Baldwin: GM, Distribution and Logistics
Warwick de Vere: GM, Manufacturing and R
Jack Herder: Manager, Shipping and Supply
Len Houwers: GM, Kapuni
Peter Mourits: Head of Business Development /
Manager Corporate Communications
David O’Reilly: Chief Financial Officer
Ray Scott: Manager, Human Resources
Graeme Smith: GM, Sales and Marketing
Terry Youngman Marketing Manager
