Fonterra Appoints Global Marketing Director for New Zealand Milk
Fonterra Cooperative Group has announced the appointment of Mr Brett Henshaw to the position of Global Marketing Director with New Zealand Milk, Fonterra's consumer goods business. Mr Henshaw will take up his new position on April 1.
Mr Henshaw, 43, is currently working in Australia as Marketing Director of Colgate-Palmolive, a position he has held since 1998. The Australian operation is one of Colgate-Palmolive's largest subsidiaries in the world.
Mr Henshaw's career at Colgate-Palmolive began in 1986 and has seen him working in Australia, London, New Zealand and New York. He has run marketing departments in three different countries and held a global staff role in New York.
Announcing the appointment, Managing Director, New Zealand Milk, Sanjay Khosla said Mr Henshaw has a strong track record in growing profitable brands across a wide range of international markets.
"The primary focus for New Zealand Milk is on developing the potential of the brands that produce the greatest value for our shareholders. This year we are intensifying our efforts in developing our portfolio and create Power Brand positions in key markets globally.
"Brett's experience in brand management, strategic leadership and innovation will further enhance New Zealand Milk's marketing drive. During his time in New York he worked with marketing in over 30 subsidiaries in all geographic regions and has significant breadth of experience in working with global business partners," Mr Khosla said.
Born and educated in New Zealand, Mr Henshaw gained a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in marketing strategy and strategic management from The University of Auckland.
Mr Henshaw said: "I was attracted to the global opportunities and responsibilities offered by Fonterra, and I am looking forward to being home and the challenge of working in an industry so fundamental to New Zealand".
