DCANZ Welcomes Open Country Cheese
The Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand (DCANZ) has welcomed Open Country Cheese Limited as a new member. DCANZ Chairman Earl Rattray said Open Country Cheese was clearly demonstrating its willingness to play a part in wider dairy industry issues.
“We are pleased to have another organisation to help co-ordinate and represent the collective public policy interests of our member dairy companies,” Mr Rattray said. Open Country Cheese Ltd joins foundation members Fonterra Co-operative Group, Tatua Cooperative Dairy Company, Westland Co-operative Dairy Company, Mainland Products and New Zealand Dairy Foods.
Mr Rattray has also announced the appointment of John Kennedy-Good to the new position of DCANZ Executive Director. Mr Kennedy-Good was a General Counsel for the New Zealand Dairy Board for 18 years and was recently a Senior Litigation Counsel for Fonterra.
“He brings a great deal of dairy industry knowledge and experience to the role,” Mr Rattray said. Mr Kennedy-Good’s appointment begins immediately.
