Sealegs Appoints French Distributor
Auckland, 14 December, 2004: Sealegs International Ltd has appointed Amphimarine SARL as the Sealegs amphibious boat distributor in France. The appointment was confirmed at the Paris International Boat Show where the innovative Kiwi craft have made a big impression. Sealegs CEO Mr David McKee Wright said “We are very pleased in appointing Amphimarine SARL as our French distributor. They will follow up the large number of sales leads received from the show.”
Amphimarine has purchased a Sealegs amphibious boat for demonstrations, beginning with more than 20 potential customer trials on the River Seine in Paris, Brittany and Normandy over the next two weeks.
Amphimarine CEO Mr Jerome de La Tullaye said that “the reaction to the Sealegs amphibious boat at the Paris Boat Show has been fantastic. Sealegs was shown on the national French TV channel news which has created great awareness of the Sealegs amphibious boat across France.
“There is a very real need for a better solution to launching boats on the North and West coasts of France as the large tides create long beach access to and from the sea. Sealegs is a very innovative and practical solution to this problem”. Mr de La Tullaya said the contacts he had within the Police, Sea and Flood Rescue are very excited to hear of the patent pending Sealegs Marine Craft as it solved the problem of amphibious access.
Amphimarine SARL is based in Nantes on the Atlantic Coast of France.
