Voluntary Food Recall of Nestlé Choc Bits Dark Chocolate
Nestlé New Zealand Limited is voluntarily recalling all batches of Nestlé Choc Bits Dark Chocolate 250g due to the
undeclared presence of milk protein. This could affect a small number of people with a milk protein allergy.
No other Nestlé products are affected by this recall.
Maurice Gunnell, Nestlé New Zealand, says, “Only those consumers who are diagnosed with a milk protein allergy are
affected by the recall. In all other respects the product is entirely fine. While this only affects a small number of
people it is important that any consumers with a milk protein allergy who have purchased Nestlé Choc Bits Dark Chocolate
do not consume the product.
“We are asking anyone with family and friends who have a milk protein allergy to contact them in case they are not aware
of the recall. We sincerely regret that this situation has occurred and are working with Allergy New Zealand to
communicate directly with their members.”
The product can be returned for a full refund to: Nestlé Consumer Services Freepost 64857 PO Box 1784 Auckland 1015
Those consumers who are not allergic to milk protein can safely consume the product and do not need to return it.
