OceanaGold Appoints New Chief Operating Officer
OceanaGold announced today that Albert Brantley has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Albert
is an experienced senior executive who is joining OceanaGold from CMS Energy where he was Executive Managing Director of
the Shuweihat CMS International Power Company.
In this role, he was responsible for the development, construction and commissioning of a 1500 MW power plant and 100
million gallon per day desalination facility in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Albert was previously employed with Amax Gold
in a number of executive roles on development projects in South America and he was the former CEO of L Mining in New Zealand. Albert has also worked for Griffin Holdings on mining projects in Australia, the Phillipines and
Thailand.
OceanaGold’s Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Orr, said “Albert brings extensive resource project development and
management experience to OceanaGold as we embark on the development of three additional mines in New Zealand. His prior
gold industry and international experience will make a significant contribution to our efforts to transform OceanaGold
