Martin Devlin To Canwest Mediaworks
Martin Devlin, until this week breakfast host on Radio Sport, will be joining CanWest MediaWorks in 2005. CanWest MediaWorks is the parent company of free-to-air TV channels: TV3 and C4, as well as many of New Zealand’s top radio brands including: The Edge, Radio Pacific, The Rock, More FM, The Breeze, Channel Z and Solid Gold.
The company is not yet ready to confirm the role Mr Devlin will be filling, and expects to make an announcement in the New Year.
“We’re very pleased to have secured the services of a broadcaster of Martin’s ability,” said CanWest MediaWorks CEO, Brent Impey.
“Martin Devlin has a quick mind, and is a witty, entertaining broadcaster with an exciting future ahead of him,” he said.
Mr Devlin began his career as a copywriter at Energy FM in New Plymouth, then moved to 91FM in Auckland, before returning to Energy FM in New Plymouth as breakfast announcer, and since then has worked for The Edge, Channel Z, More FM, and for the last six and a half years at Radio Sport. He has also been involved in a number of television productions.
