One of Australia’s fastest-growing publishers EMAP is delighted to announce it has appointed Netlink Distribution Company as the distributor of its portfolio of magazines in New Zealand.
The new distribution contract, which is effective from 1 February 2005, will give EMAP access to more than 5000 retailers across New Zealand that are serviced by Netlink.
EMAP’s stable of publications includes high-profile titles such as market-leading men’s lifestyle magazine FHM which is now published in 27 countries, Australian Magazine of the Year New Woman, and successful youth market publications Smash Hits and Barbie. The publisher also produces a range of specialist action sports magazines, including market leaders in surfing, skateboarding and motorcycling.

“After a very robust selection process EMAP is delighted to be working with Netlink as the market leader in New Zealand.
“With Netlink, we have a partner that will assist us to create significant new growth for our business in New Zealand. Their distribution network and retail category management expertise will enable EMAP to consolidate and grow its position within the New Zealand market, allowing our portfolio of quality publications to be targeted to more New Zealanders than we have previously been able to reach,” said Mr Cowie.

“Netlink is very pleased to have been selected by EMAP to distribute its range of magazines. This is a significant business win for Netlink and EMAP’s publications are a welcome addition to our established base of independent publishers whose titles we distribute all over New Zealand,” said Mr Aston.
