Certus appoints UK IT specialist Steve Harsley to Senior Consultant
AUCKLAND, 28 September 2004 - Certus, one of New Zealand's leading IT consulting and implementation companies, today announced the appointment of Steve Harsley to Senior Consultant. Mr Harsley brings more than six years of extensive experience as an IT specialist for IBM UK to Certus.
According to Greg Woolley, Managing Director, Certus, Mr Harsley's expertise has a depth and breadth rarely seen, even in senior IT consultants. "Steve Harsley combines a broad range of IT consulting skills with exceptional knowledge of IBM software solutions. His abilities and experience will further strengthen Certus' ability to deliver end-to-end IBM solutions and provide significant benefits to our customers."
Steve Harsley's roles at IBM UK included operations analyst, senior developer and duty manager for critical internal and external accounts. He has specialised extensively in various applications, including Tivoli, Websphere, DB2, MVS/0S390, AIX, UNIX and Linux. Before IBM UK, Mr Harsley worked on radar development and as an engineer for the Nuclear Inspectorate in the UK, where he gained an ASNT Level II Nuclear Non-Destructive Test Engineering C-Script in Radiography, Magna Particle and Ultrasonics.
"I work according to a simple rule: do what it takes to get the job done well," explains Steve Harsley. "This rule entailed that I develop a wide range of high-level technical expertise.
