Wellington Chamber CEO Moves To Positively Wellington Business
Phil Lewin, Chief Executive of the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce has resigned from the Chamber to take up the role of CEO of Positively Wellington Business, Peter Steel, President of the Chamber announced today.
Phil will remain with the Chamber until the end of the year and commence in his new role with PWB early in 2005. The Chamber Board will recruit a new CEO during this period.
Phil has provided strong and effective leadership to the Chamber over the past four years, building an excellent staff team in the Chamber and leading a number of key initiatives to advance the Chamber and the interests of Chamber members.
The Board of the Chamber are extremely appreciative of Phil’s input to the Chamber’s activities, and wish him well in his new role.
The role at PWB will build on Phil’s activities with the Chamber, which have sought to strategically advance the Wellington regional economy and increase Regional business activity.
PWB has an important function in the Wellington Region and the Chamber looks forward to working with the PWB Board and Phil in his new role, to advance the mutual interests of both organisations, in seeking increased economic growth for the Region.
