Four Of The Latest Winning Wheel Winners Identified. Search Continues In Gisborne And New Plymouth.
The holders of four of the six Winning Wheel serial numbers announced on the 18 September Lotto draw have been identified says New Zealand Lotteries Commission Deputy Chief Executive Warren Salisbury.
The winning tickets sold at Kingsland Pharmacy in Kingsland, Auckland, Lotto & Wild Thingz in Shirley, Christchurch, Cromwell Paper Plus in Cromwell and 525 Mags & Cards in Tauranga have been validated and the winners will have their date to spin the Winning Wheel confirmed in the next few days.
"Further details will be announced by the end of the week, but I can confirm that the winners are all local people and regular Lotto players. They are all very excited that in the next 3-8 weeks they will be coming to Wellington to spin the Winning Wheel," said Mr Salisbury.
The winning tickets sold at Lytton West Lotto & Post Centre in Gisborne and Westown Lotto in New Plymouth are still to be claimed
"We're asking everyone who bought their ticket for last Saturday's draw at either of these stores to check it against the winning serial numbers as soon as they can," said Mr Salisbury.
Winning tickets are identified by the serial number which is located at the bottom right-hand corner of every Lotto ticket.
Players can check their ticket by going to any Lotto store and running their ticket through a terminal or by logging on to NZLC's website www.nzlotteries.co.nz and checking their ticket against the winning serial numbers.
"Once a ticket is identified by staff in any Lotto store, Lotto's Winning Wheel winners will immediately be put on the phone to NZLC representatives in Wellington," he said. "Winners can also contact us directly by calling 04 802 7000."
"We've had a great response from players to Winning Wheel, and by having a bonus week we've given more of them the chance to come on to Saturday's Lotto draw and win one of our cash or non-cash prizes valued at an average of $220,000," said Mr Salisbury.
