Terrace Downs Steps Up Sales Presence
In an assertive move that signals the importance of both the Convention and Incentive [C] and domestic corporate markets, Terrace Downs High Country Resort is delighted to announce two new appointments to enhance its existing marketing presence.
The new appointments see Anne Montgomery-Lee taking on the role of Director of Sales. She has spent the past six years representing the Christchurch Convention Centre and Westpac Centre in the Australasian MICE markets.
“I am thrilled to be associated with such a spectacular product and am confident it will be warmly welcomed by the C market,” says Anne Montgomery-Lee who will be responsible for the Auckland, Wellington and Australian corporate markets.
Leanne Brooks has been appointed as Business Development Manager responsible for the South Island corporate market. Leanne has over seven years experience in hotel sales with Millennium Copthorne Kingsgate Hotels and Resorts.
Both appointments come at a time when additional guest accommodation is being commissioned and further villas are under construction. In addition, work has recently commenced on The Lodge at Terrace Downs which will feature 250 square metres of meeting space and 22 super-deluxe suites. By late 2005 the Resort will be capable of accommodating up to 300 guests.
Terrace Downs is New Zealand’s only high country resort and sits at the foot of the mountains at the tip of the Southern Alps perched on the terrace above the mighty Rakaia River Gorge. More than 38 000 guests are expected to stay, dine or play golf at this growing visitor destination over the next year.
