Shoof International Ltd. chooses mySAP™ All-in-One
Auckland, August 30, 2004 – Intelligroup a local midsize SAP reseller has secured a sub $400,000 contract with Waikato-based agricultural and veterinary equipment importer and distributor, Shoof International Limited.
Owner Geoff Laurent had been developing an internal business applications system, but when Shoof International started expanding into new, international market segments with additional product lines and business acquisitions, Laurent realised the company needed some assistance in managing its meteoric rate of growth.
“As the business got bigger, we realised we were going to need to implement a professional ERP system to support our operations, including finance, customer relationship management (CRM) and import/distribution management modules,” said Laurent.
“We put the tender out to the market and Intelligroup proposed the mySAP™ All-in-One solution.
“We believe that their approach will deliver the breadth of tools, the product knowledge and the business intelligence needed to maintain and grow our operations whilst the core modules of SAP software will provide a foundation that we can customise as required,” said Laurent.
SAP New Zealand’s SMB Manager, Alex Morcom, said Intelligroup was successful in winning the contract from a strong field of traditional ERP competitors including Microsoft Business Solutions–Axapta® (SPL). “SAP’s best practice focus on the solution’s ability to grow and flex with Shoof’s business using mySAP All-in-One meant we could offer a solution with longevity which will put Shoof ahead of its competitors,” said Nick Mulcahy, Mid-Market Business Manager, Intelligroup.
SAP and Intelligroup worked with HP’s channel partner, Elite Business Systems, to understand the existing infrastructure and the requirements for implementing a successful solution. They then tailored a certified infrastructure configuration and implemented it using HP’s rapid deployment for servers’ toolset.
“The success of the win is testament to the synergy of the team and represents a great partnership between SAP and Intelligroup,” said Mulcahy
Geoff Laurent said that investment in the mySAP All-in-One solution means the team at Shoof will be able to focus on their core business, confident in the knowledge that the integrated software package will help them to manage, grow and diversify their business. “We are confident the new software will greatly improve efficiencies and capabilities over time. Our business will benefit from consolidation of multiple international companies, managing and tracking of imports and exports in transit, barcode facility and accurate business reporting. “With mySAP All-in-One, we are looking forward to quick implementation, reliable performance, great scalability and predictable cost structures that will mean we can grow our business quickly and profitably.
“The mySAP All-in-One solution gives our business room for growth and the confidence that any future expansions can be handled without major upgrades.
“It is a truly affordable option for companies looking to invest in effective business solutions,” said Laurent. - ends - About SAP SAP is the world’s leading provider of business software.
