Telecom Voted Top Telecommunications Carrier
Telecom was named Telecommunications Carrier of the Year at the annual Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand (TUANZ) Innovation Awards last night.
The top award is voted for by TUANZ members and recognises innovation, customer responsiveness and marketing skill.
In addition to Carrier of the Year, Telecom Xtra was voted Internet Service Provider of the Year for the fifth consecutive year.
In the judged categories Telecom also received awards for the following:
TUANZ Broadband Innovation Award for Telecom’s SchoolZone which provides schools with secure, fast access to the Internet and also enables them to pool and share resources online.
TUANZ Financial Services Award for Telecom’s Mobile EFTPOS service, launched in March 2004, which enables businesses to conduct EFTPOS transactions on the move.
