Harveys Welcomes New Petone Branch Into Its Expanding Network
Harveys Real Estate has continued its expansion in the key Wellington market with the addition of a branch in Petone - previously under the L J Hooker label - to its expanding network.
After eight years, Petone branch owner, Leanne Senior, is taking her Winning Realty Limited office across to Harveys. At the same time, she will assume ownership of Harveys Lower Hutt. The shift is effective immediately.
Harveys regard the re-brand of Winning Realty, strategically situated in the heart of the Petone Shopping precinct in Jackson Street, as a coup. It has consistently been among the top earners in the greater Wellington region.
According to Harveys Executive Director Ross Barraclough, Petone coming on board is in line with the company’s vision to develop the brand nationally. “Increasing our presence in this area will not only strengthen our ability to service the wider Wellington residential market, but will also provide a sound platform for our imminent expansion into the South Island”, he says.
Leanne Senior brings over seventeen years of industry experience to the group, and is well known in the Hutt Valley for her enthusiastic approach to business.
“Five companies approached me with proposals,” says Leanne, “and I looked at all of them in great depth. I examined everything from ownership, leadership, systems, ethics, to product – and Harveys were well ahead of everyone else. “
Furthermore, she says Harveys has more than delivered on its promises. “Since we decided to make the shift, there has been amazing support from everyone at the Harveys head office. I am very happy and excited with the move, as are my team.”
The Petone and Lower Hutt branches have a full staff of 30, but Leanne is keen to see those numbers increase. The Petone office has just recorded its best financial year ever and its most successful month ever in June. In recent years, the combination of accessibility to urban amenities and close proximity to recreational areas has seen the Hutt Valley reposition itself as a desirable suburb, resulting in a steady rise in property sales.
Leanne Senior says it is the branch’s high standards that have made it successful, and believes the shift to the Harveys banner will accentuate its values further. “We have an brilliant office culture, and a team spirit seldom seen in any industry,” she says. “It is a truly combined effort. We really do make a great team and therefore a great office”.
Barraclough acknowledges the forward thinking management style of the branch is one of the reasons it has been so successful. “We aim to take full advantage of the excellent relationship the Petone branch staff has with its clients,” he says. “We look forward to building a strong partnership with the region and seeing it continue to flourish.”
