Traditional Handcrafted Luxury Chocolate Factory Now Open For Business
Simply Delicious was officially launched in Auckland today as a provider of handcrafted luxury chocolate.
“As I child I was fascinated watching my father make chocolates and pastries. Norbertus was a Master Continental Pastry Maker and Chocolatier and won several prizes including 3rd place at the World Cake Decorating competitions.” Said company founder Bea Stumpel.
“My father was well regarded in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland and upon immigrating to New Zealand he ran a number of very successful businesses producing continental foods and chocolate to loyal clientele.”
“Since he passed away in 1996 I have been determined to continue the family tradition. Today is the rekindling of our family tradition.”
With the business based on the Kaipara Coast and a full online ordering service available at www.choco.co.nz ; Simply Delicious is able to offer a variety of high quality chocolates – from Chocolate coffee stirrers to Truffles, Chocolate logs, Chocolate Brittle and a range of other products including one off corporate or special occasion gifts.
Because Simply Delicious is handcrafted in the traditional manner, anything is possible. “I was recently approached by Soljans Estate Winery of Kumeu to develop a chocolate product using several of their signature wines. This was achieved with great success and enabled Soljans to have their own exclusive branded chocolate wine product which is now available at their Cellar Door.”
Bea is a Diploma holder of NZPF (NZ Professional Florist) and until recently a judge and examiner for Interflora. After 26 years in the Floral and Gift Basket industry Bea has recently sold her business of 11 years to focus fully on Simply Delicious.
Products are available online as well as a number of leading gift suppliers and will be extended to other retailers over coming weeks.
