Freedom Air Announces Travel Partners
Freedom Air today announced that it has selected two wholesale travel providers to work exclusively with the airline.
After completing a pitch process House of Travel and Holidays Plus have been selected to work with Freedom Air, packaging accommodation and other ground products with the airline's really, really small fares.
House of Travel will become Freedom Air's retail partner, joining with the airline in advertising and marketing campaigns. They will also receive direct passenger referrals from Freedom Air's Reservations Centre.
Holidays Plus has been chosen to provide online travel products through the Freedom Air website.
Rachel Gardiner, Freedom Air sales and marketing manager, says the airline is pleased to have two very strong partners on board. "House of Travel has an excellent brand presence in our key markets and has a proven track record when it comes to developing effective marketing solutions and delivering value to its customers," she says. "Holidays Plus was chosen as it provides an on-line travel solution that has been designed to work seamlessly with the Freedom Air website, in terms of simplicity and ease of navigation."
House of Travel's commercial director Tony Moffatt commented that Freedom Air was providing a crucial service, especially to provincial New Zealand and could only see the airline going from strength to strength.
"House of Travel is thrilled to be the marketing partner of Freedom Air. We have worked with and promoted Freedom Air since its inception and now with this exclusive arrangement with them it allows us to offer our customers fantastic holiday deals," Tony said.
Jonathan Watts, General Manager for Holidays Plus, says he is extremely pleased with the outcome. We have enjoyed a long association with Freedom and being chosen as the on-line partner is the result of a lot of hard work and perseverance with new technology. The technology we are using has a big future and we look forward to taking the Freedom web experience to the next level."
Gardiner also comments that both partners showed a great understanding of the Freedom Air model and looked for opportunities to work with it rather than change it. "The Freedom Air model creates new markets by making travel more affordable for more people, and by providing direct services from provincial markets," she says. "House of Travel and Holidays Plus were the first travel providers to recognise the huge opportunities that exist in working within these new markets."
House of Travel and Holidays Plus will begin working with Freedom Air immediately.
