ACP Media Acquires Property Classifieds Publications
ACP Media announced today the acquisition of property classifieds publications Real Estate and Extra for an undisclosed sum. The acquisitions will further strengthen the offering provided by ACP Media’s Property Press, giving advertisers a powerful range of publications to reach homebuyers.
Real Estate is a glossy, A4 magazine known by prospective homebuyers and casual readers for its distinctive orange cover. Real Estate is published in Wellington, the Hutt Valley, Taranaki, Taupo and Rotorua. Extra is an Auckland-based property magazine servicing both the inner and central suburbs.
Heith Mackay-Cruise, CEO of ACP Media, said, “ACP Media is committed to building on the successful acquisition of Property Press two-and-a-half years ago”.
“With the addition of Real Estate and Extra, we have created a Property Classifieds Division that publishes 16 titles. We are now the leading provider of dedicated property publishing services in New Zealand,” he said.
Pat Houlihan, who has been appointed head of ACP Media’s Property Classifieds Division, said, “The acquisitions consolidate our market position and provide opportunities for further growth in real estate advertising. Extra will bolster the full offering provided by the North Shore, Central, Eastern and Southern editions of Property Press, while Real Estate will improve penetration in the North Island market, with potential to extend to the South Island”.
