Northpower and Staff Reach Agreement over Pay Negotiations
Today management and staff reached agreement over pay details for the next 15 months, and avoided a potential one-day stoppage which had been scheduled for next week.
Management, staff and the unions have been working hard to reach agreement that would ensure both the Company and staff positions were met. In a meeting today, 99% of staff accepted the Company offer.
While the Company had contingency plans to ensure minimal impact on the electricity supply to customers, Northpower Chief Executive, Mark Gatland, said “we are pleased that we have achieved both the objectives of the Company and that of our staff, without disruption to the business”.
