Toll NZ stands by good union relations
Toll NZ CEO David Jackson said today he was disappointed that the Council of Trade Unions had attacked the company regarding its industrial relations.
We very much stand by our reputation with unions in Australia and our dedication as an employer. We are not here to disadvantage our New Zealand employees.
I would have thought that the unions would have welcomed the fact that while many companies are moving out of New Zealand we have decided to invest in this country and we are here to grow the transport sector across all modes.
Improvements often mean change, but we are consulting with our workforce over all these matters and it helps no one when the Council of Trade Unions gets into name-calling
