Budget Reaction/U.S. Trip
Media seeking Federated Farmers' reaction to the Budget should contact in the first instance Hugh Ritchie, a Federation National Board member.
Mr Ritchie, a grains farmer from central Hawke's Bay, will be available from 2:30 pm on 04 494 9190 or 027 4441 224
He will also be commenting through press releases issued soon after the Budget speech.
If Mr Ritchie is unavailable, contact John Pask, Deputy Director, Policy on 04 494 9196 or 04 478 9303.
Media should not ring Federation President Tom Lambie, Vice President Charlie Pedersen, or Chief Executive Tony St. Clair.
They will be overseas on their way to the 36th World Farmers Congress in Washington D.C. The congress is the annual meeting of the International Federation of Agricultural Producers, the world body of nationally representative general farmers' organisations.
They will also be attending the Cairns Group Farm Leaders meeting in the U.S. capital.
