Celebrating Great Beer - BrewNZ June 3 - 6, 2004
New Zealand's premier celebration of beer is about to open in Wellington, where the public can grab a BrewNZ map and enjoy beautifully crafted beer and delicious food matches.
A celebration of the taste and craftsmanship of New Zealand's increasingly sophisticated and vibrant beer industry, BrewNZ gives the public the opportunity to taste new and interesting beers. Many will be Festive Brews that have been created especially in time for the event and can be tasted for the first time.
Director of BrewNZ, Kerry Tyack says that this BrewNZ offers something for everyone, from those who already enjoy beer and food matches as part of their dining and leisure activity, to the palate curious who want to know more about beer through tutored tastings, and budding beer connoisseurs who can enter their own home brews or attend a Mac's Personal Brewing Masterclass.
"We'll also be judging more than 150 brews from New Zealand and overseas, with local and international beer judges during the New Zealand Beer Awards," commented Kerry Tyack.
"We're thrilled with the number of participating breweries and restaurants who have partnered to host Festive Brews for this event including Shed 5 with Limburg's Czechmate Pilsner, Shed 22's voluptuous 6XB beer, One Red Dog with The Loaded Hog Brewery's Hog Lite beer, and the DB Festive Brew at Brava.
