Telecommunications Act: Residential Wholesale Conference Details
The Commerce Commission will hold a two-day conference on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May, on its draft determination relating to wholesale access to Telecom New Zealand’s residential services by TelstraClear Limited.
Under the Telecommunications Act, TelstraClear originally requested that the Commission determine the full range of price and non-price terms and conditions. On 31 March 2004, TelstraClear and Telecom jointly informed the Commission that agreement had been reached on many aspects of the original application. The Commission’s draft determination deals with the outstanding issues that remain between the parties.
The conference is for TelstraClear and Telecom, and interested parties, to make oral presentations based on submissions to the Commission and for the Commission to ask questions.
The conference will be held in the Commission’s ground floor conference room located in the NGC Building, 44-52 The Terrace, Wellington. A copy of the conference programme is attached.
The draft determination and submissions are available at the Commission’s website at http://www.comcom.govt.nz/telecommunications/Decisions_TelstraClearRWD.cfm.
