Hansells’ Vitafresh website a winner
The worldwide web is proving its marketing worth to Hansells with kids overwhelming its Vitafresh website.
A current Hansells promotion called ‘The Great Gift Grab,’ which has been running since February and directing potential prizewinners to http://www.vitafresh.co.nz, is attracting an average of 121 visitors per day. Web company Emerge, in Ponsonby, Auckland, designed the site.
“The number of hits to the website has been phenomenal. In comparison to a promotion that has mail-in entries as the mechanic, a good number of entries would be in the realm of 25,000 – we’ve had 55,887 which is quite astronomical,” says Lisa Tregenza, Hansells Brand Manager.
“Once in the site children enter their unique number from inside the Vitafresh 5-packs to see if they are a winner. Prizes include Polaroid cameras, funky glow pens, magnetic dudes, ice-lolly sets and cool straws and so far 2,737 prizes have been won.”
Ms Tregenza is very pleased with the success of the promotion and website. “It really shows that Hansells has come of age with a fantastic website. This promotion has also demonstrated what a powerful tool the internet is to communicate to consumers,” she says.
The Great Gift Grab finishes on 14 May and then a new Xbox promotion kicks in with 10 Xbox consoles and 12,000 instant prizes up for grabs. Again prizewinners need to check their luck on the website with ‘laser tics’ found in the Vitafresh 5-packs and it’s expected to be just as popular with children.
Hansells is a relative newcomer to the web and launched its main website http://www.hansells.co.nz late last year, along with www.vitafresh.co.nz. Also due to come on line soon is a site supporting popular snack brand Poppa Jacks – www.poppajacks.co.nz.
The Vitafresh website has a link to the Hansells main website, which features product information on many of the Hansells brands, including Vitafresh, King Old Fashioned Soup, Sugromax, Yog-It, Hansells Baking and Essences and the new addition, Kids Can Bake. There are a lot of discerning people out there who want to check labels and this is a great site with it being informative and fun as well as including some exciting recipes. The site also allows our export markets access to product information over the web.
