PSA and IRD reach proposed settlement
The PSA and Inland Revenue teams negotiating the renewal of the Inland Revenue/PSA Collective Agreement have reached a
proposed settlement, PSA national secretary Richard Wagstaff said today.
“The proposed settlement, which was reached late last week, provides some immediate enhancements to the current
Collective Agreement and sufficiently addresses issues on which both Inland Revenue and PSA wanted to make progress to
provide a good platform for the future.”
Richard Wagstaff said the PSA represents over half of the department’s 4,800 staff and the department and the union had
worked hard to achieve the proposed settlement for PSA members.
“Some aspects of the settlement reflect the value to Inland Revenue of having staff negotiate collectively through the
PSA, the PSA’s collective influence in Inland Revenue, and the parties’ joint commitment to the PSA’s Partnership for
Quality strategy – which aims to improve the quality of New Zealand’s public services.
