The Laminex Group – NZ's Best Known Surface Brands
The Laminex Group next month formally launches its new corporate identity, bringing together three companies to become New Zealand's largest supplier to the building, construction and joinery industries.
From May 1 the new structure, The Laminex Group New Zealand, will bring together The Laminex Group, Fletcher Wood Panels and Scott Panel & Hardware. This follows the November 2002 purchase of The Laminex Group by Fletcher Building - owner of Fletcher Wood Panels and Scott Panel & Hardware.
The Laminex Group New Zealand will be the home of New Zealand's most well-known brands including Formica, Melteca, Corian, Seratone, Lakepine, Pynefloor and Plyco Doors. These brands have an enviable reputation for fashionability and quality.
Fashion trends and colours, patterns and textures are interpreted into stunning and long-lasting decorative surfaces with the Group's high-pressure laminates ranges - which include New Zealand icon brand Formica, as well as the innovative and stylish Laminex brand. Low-pressure laminates for vertical surfaces - like cupboards - include the Melteca range and a new Laminex brand product due for release in late June.
Engineered solid stone surfaces offer extraordinary beauty and durability with brands like Corian and CaesarStone. Seratone offers decorative panels for interior spaces, suitable for creating stunning design features, while Colorati offers extensive creative options with its ability to be thermo-formed into free-flowing shapes, ideal for furniture design.
For the building industry, brands like Pynefloor flooring, Lakepine, Superfine and Superflake substrates, Hardboards, Flameguard and Plyco Doors deliver total solutions for building projects.
Bob Linton, The Laminex Group New Zealand General Manager, says The Laminex Group is New Zealand's leading marketer, distributor and manufacturer of fashionable surface solutions and related products. "Our vision is to bring the very latest in design, innovation and colour to our products, ensuring we maintain the leading edge in our industry," Linton says.
The new Group structure will focus on two channels to market, and will be brought to life with new signage and stationery. The first channel to market, simply called The Laminex Group, will deliver innovative product and solutions for the building and construction market through national distributors including Placemakers, Carters, Benchmark, ITM and Mitre 10. The second channel, called Scott The Laminex Group, will service the joinery and furniture market with quality panel and hardware through 13 tradeshops nationwide
