Hyundai Spreads Its Wings
The Hyundai brand is winging its way to Taupo following the announcement of the appointment of a new dealer for the Central Plateau region - Wings and Wheels Hyundai.
In a move that will heighten visibility of the Hyundai brand in the region, Hyundai Automotive New Zealand (HANZ) General Manager, Philip Eustace, said Wings and Wheels Hyundai has taken on the Hyundai franchise as of 3 April 2004.
"The appointment of Wings and Wheels Hyundai provides ideal synergies for our brand, while importantly extending our focus toward the private market. The vehicles in our SUV range such as the Santa Fe and Tuscon (due for launch in New Zealand this July) will be perfect for Central Plateau's diverse road conditions," he said.
Well known in the Taupo motor vehicle industry, Wings and Wheels Hyundai Dealer Principal, Deon Cooper, said he is enthusiastic about the new opportunity and challenge that the dealership will present.
"We have been watching Hyundai for some time now and have been consistently impressed by the quality and reliability of vehicles." "Our aim is to make people aware of the direction that Hyundai is taking in New Zealand. We plan to turn the heads of car buyers coming onto the yard and educate them on the inherent quality, style and value of Hyundai vehicles," he said.
